Sometimes our favorite custom projects are inspired by our client’s design ideas! This chestnut and pine coffee and side table set are a perfect example of that.
The chestnut and steel tube coffee table was originally for sale on our showroom floor without a lower shelf. Our client loved the look of the coffee table, but felt that a shelf was a needed feature for her lifestyle and space.
Liz worked with the existing piece and created a seamless addition with the same custom square tube and reclaimed pine for the lower shelf.
The design of the coffee table then inspired the design of a matching, slim side table. Liz used the same concept of an inset, lower steel frame and reclaimed pine to bring both pieces together.
While not all custom projects start with existing pieces of furniture from our showroom floor, we love a collaborative process to make your furniture work for you!

This may not have been our first bowling alley island, but it was certainly our largest!
This custom project was centered around a huge piece of beautifully preserved bowling lane which feautures seven perfect darts. Liz incorporated modern and industrial details to pull the piece together, including galvanized pipe and matching wooden dowels.
At nearly 5.5 ft long and 3.5 ft wide, this counter height work desk is a one of a kind custom piece, much like our previous bowling alley islands, but we have good news! This look can be recreated using new butcher block countertops in varying sizes and with varying base styles, too!

Every now and then we get a custom order that turned out so well, we’re sad to see it leave our shop. This is one of those pieces.
This client ordered a simple, custom coffee table with 3/4 square tube and a reclaimed top- based off of the design seen in our Steel Box Coffee Table.
The stars aligned and these two boards found their way to our workshop, where Liz knew they would be perfect for this project. The invisible supports give the wood top a light and airy appearance, not to mention the beautiful negative space highlighted in the center! After sanding the boards to size, Liz added two beautiful oxidized oak butterflies, tying the piece together as a whole.
This table measures 45.5″ x 22″ x 16″

This was an especially fun project- Our client came to us in hopes that we could combine her son’s love of theatre and photography in a lamp that would be traveling with him to college. That will be one unique dorm room!
Liz seamlessly combined a vintage tripod and a stage light to create an adjustable lamp that is both sleek and industrial. Some new hardware was added to link the two and the stage light was rewired for easy use. This is a perfect example of taking beloved vintage pieces and tweaking them for accessibility, all while allowing them to be true to their past lives.

Inspired by the storied textures of reclaimed barn boards from Guyette Farm in Plainsfield, Mass, Liz made a traditional farm table with a rough white finish to present a clean, modern take on age-old design and materials.
Customizable to any size, with any wood, reclaimed tin siding dependent on current inventory.
We custom designed this piece for client’s media center. Using the antique tin as our starting inspiration we made a cabinet to fit the space and the needs using steel and poplar.
